Seabound Style board inspired by Voodoo Vixen

1. Anchor Enamel hinge bracelet in white from Sourpuss
2. Seafarer brooch by Erstwilder via Vintage Pip
3. T.U.K White metal anchor shoes available here and here
4. Joni dress by Voodoo Vixen
5. Tiny sideways anchor necklace available here
6. Collectif Sailor vanity bag in blue via Trash Monkey
7. Anchor enamel hinge bracelet in navy from Sourpuss

I was so inspired by the "Joni" dress from Voodoo Vixen in their latest releases that I just had to do a style board! I had so many ideas buzzing around my head about how this could be styled but then I remembered the bag and thought it was the perfect match and thus this style board was born.

First of all we have to talk about how perfect the dress (4) is. I love so many of the new designs from Voodoo Vixen but this one just stood out to me the most. I love the use of the amazing white sailor themed print against the navy blue background, it really helps to make both colours pop. It is then finished off with some lovely fine detailed white trim around the bottom, chest and belt that really brings the whole contrast in colour together. I am also in love with the neck line and sleeves, its a great cut for people a little self conscious about their arms like myself but it also has a low cut design around the chest. It all looks really flattering, especially with the use of the pulled in waist with the use of the matching belt and the full skirt. I can not wait to get my hands on this dress!

When I saw this dress I was instantly reminded of a bag I saw not to long ago that kept popping up everywhere. The Sailor vanity bag in blue from Collectif (6) is a match made in heaven for this dress! I was also so thankful to read that it comes with a long shoulder strap as well as the short handles, perfect for use during the day and the evening.

Shoes! I had a think about what sailor themed shoes are out there and believe me its a lot but mainly heavily patterns ones, I decided use of more pattern would just clash too much as none are ever really the same. I then remember a pair of shoes I bought many years ago now, been a while since I have worn my Anchor shoes (3) from T.U.K (they are in need of a good clean) but if and when I get my hands on this dress I will pull them out for sure! The shoes are simple but match so well to the little anchor details in everything else.

This outfit wouldn't be complete without some anchor related accessories. The two bracelets from sourpuss (1 & 7) and the cute yet simple necklace (5) are super adorable and bring the whole outfit together.

There is so many great Erstwilder brooches out there, especially with the new range. I decided to choose an old favorite that I have posted a bunch of times in the past. The seafarer brooch (2) would look adorable pinned to the front of this dress but I did have other choices from the new range that I have to share!

I didn't forget all of you in the colder climates or those here in Australia who want to wear this dress into winter. Voodoo Vixen also have the perfect matching cardigan to keep you warm!

I hope you fill inspired reading this style board just like I was making it! I think this has to be my favorite one I have made so far, everything just works so well! I really want to make more of these in the future, I find them super fun. One day I would love to recreate this look, I already own the shoes so only another 6 items to grab :)

Christmas style board - Red vs Silver

Earlier last week I made a post all about my favorite Lindy Bop dresses for Christmas, I ended up with a list of around 10. I was originally meant to do the style board then but just could not decided which dress to do it on, I then figured I'd ask all of you for which one you wanted me to style! Your top vote was for the Myrtle Green dress (10), a stunning dress in every way. I myself am not a huge fan of halter neck dresses so I decided to also present your second vote which just happened to also be in the same green, the Lucille Green dress (4). Both dresses are super cute on their own but can be dressed up very Christmasy if you wanted to.
After much thought about what Christmasy colour to pair both the dresses with, I ended up settling on two. Both the red and the silver accessories can be worn with either dress and still look amazing. I figured that not everyone is into the whole red and green colour scheme as it can be to bright so I presented an alternative. Both very Christmasy but still very simple in how they look.

I knew when I first saw both the Miss L Fire shoes that I had to include them (3 & 13). They have a slight heel but nothing to major that you won't be able to dance the night away after Christmas dinner in. I just love the whole look of the Mary Janes and these ones are just perfect because of the wonderful glitter patent look they have and the the teardrop cut outs at the toes. Perfect for this festive time of year but also any time of year when you want to dance and look cute all at once.

I didn't include any hair accessories for the first time in my style boards but that's only because I am obsessed with the Sculpture pin curl tool (7) at the moment. I think using this to style the hair would just be an accessories in its self. I would end up having a lot of height and curl in my hair that I wouldn't need to accessories as it would just take away to much from the perfect curls that have been created.

Some of you are pretty lucky and get to have winter Christmases, that has to be something I miss about living in England. There's just something not right about a hot Christmas spent at the beach but oh well. I included a couple of plain but cute cardigans from Poppy England (1 & 11) to help keep you warm and finish off the outfit with the same colour scheme. Still looking rather sweet might I add :)

I don't think the outfit would be complete with out some very stylish handbags (2 & 12) in the same kind of glitter colour as the shoes. They would just match so perfectly! Especially when held with the wonderful matching glittery nail colours (6 & 8) to add a bit more festive fun! I also feel that both dresses no matter what colour scheme is being worn needed that amazing pop of some Lime Crime red velvet lipstick (5), It would last simply all day no matter what you got up to.

I added in petticoats (14 & 15) in matching colours but didn't add them to the board, of course if you didn't want to wear one of these that would be fine. I really love a fuller looking dress and wear petticoats under pretty much everything.

Last but defiantly not least is my favorite Christmas Erstwilder brooch (9) this year! I just love this little festive pooch in his little Christmas hat. I want to take him every where this year to spread the joy around!

I have this thing about Christmas aprons this year and all the vintage advertisements of women wearing them while cooking big fancy dinners. I think there is nothing cuter than a woman dressed head to toe in an amazing outfit but then paired with a cute apron while she cooks. I found the above two on Etsy but there are so many to choose from in all different shapes and sizes. I kind of want one for all year round but in polka dots!

The perfect Pinup Christmas dress from Lindy Bop

I'm feeling a little bit Christmasy today so I decided to bring you my favorite dresses to wear this festive season!
There are so many wonderful dresses out there to choose from that I am going to find it so hard not to completely bombard you with them all so I decided to stick with one brand that I just kept returning to. I was originally thinking of doing a Christmas themed style board but once I started looking at perfect dresses I just couldn't get it down to one. I think I shall make a style board next weeks Christmas post! I may even get you to pick your favorite for me to style.
All the dresses featured in this post I have found on the Lindy Bop website. I did have a good look around many websites I know that sell fabulous dresses but Lindy Bop just had so many fantastic choices at a great price that I just had too many to choose from. I have decided to show you only a few of my favorite Lindy Bop Christmas dresses, there was so many more I could have chosen though.

One of the great thing about all of these dresses is that because they are not actual Christmas dresses you can wear them over and over again throughout the year in many different ways. I know I would wear a bright red dress multiple times with many different accessories!

Currently you can get 15% off your entire Lindy Bop purchase by putting discount code XMAS15 in at the checkout. Valid until the 14th of December!

Don't forget to tell me in the comments which dress you would love to see a style board for :)

A very Hell Bunny Halloween

I love Halloween just as much as the next person but always get stuck on the costume part (that's if I do something, I live in Australia). Thankfully, the wonderful Hell Bunny has endless spooky inspired clothes to choose from. I decided to pull a few of these together with a few ideas to help you out if you still haven't found a costume! Halloween is now only 9 days away!
Another wonderful thing about buying a Hell Bunny Halloween outfit is that is super easy to style the dress in your day to day life.

Pin Up Sailor Girl

1. Hell Bunny Claudia dress via Retro Glam
2. White Sailor hat via Atomic Cherry
3. Hell Bunny Elastic white belt via Atomic Cherry
4. First day of Cool flat via Modcloth
5. White Hell Bunny Petticoat via Atomic Cherry (not pictured)

This outfit is so simple yet so effective! I have seen the sailor girl look done many times over the years and still to this day love all the different takes on it. I think this is the perfect Hell Bunny dress for a Pin up Sailor girl look, and its also super easy to wear the dress in your every day life. This look of course can be done as is, or you could go the whole zombie dead look. With all the dark make up and fake blood. This dress comes in sizes up to 4XL.

Vampiress

1. Hell Bunny Vampiress Dress via Trash Monkey
2. Bat in Time tights via Modcloth
3. Bat necklace via Sourpuss
4. All bat and more heel via Modcloth
5. Hell Bunny Black petticoat via Atomic Cherry (not pictured)

When I think of vampires I think of a flawless looking woman with amazing style. I think that this Hell Bunny dress portrays the perfect Vampiress, making it a very good costume to wear this Halloween and other days of the year. As you can see I paired it with a bunch of bat related items because lets face it, you can't have a vampire and no bats. I would love to wear this while having ghostly white skin, dark eye make up and piercing red lipstick! This dress also goes up to 4XL

Spiders

1. Hell Bunny Spider dress via Tiger Milly
2. The vamp spiderweb necklace via Pin Up girl clothing (also has matching bracelet)
3. Charlottes web flats via Lady heels
4. Hell Bunny Spider cardigan via Off ya tree
5. Hell Bunny Black Petticoat via Atomic Cherry (not pictured)

Why would you not want to dress up as a spider obsessed lady? This whole look is very simple but you just can't help but think of Halloween when you look at it. Of course you don't have to wear the cardigan and the dress but for some of you its getting colder so you got to match while you go trick or treating. I totally would put fake spider webs and spiders in my hair and create some huge eye catching hair style.  Dress comes in sizes up to 4XL

Zombie Pin Ups

1. Hell Bunny forever dead skirt via JBR clothing
2. Hell Bunny forever dead shirt via Attitude cothing
3. Sipping Cappuccinos thigh highs via Modcloth
4. Reuniting heels in black via Modcloth
5. Black Hell bunny Petticoat via Atomic Cherry (not pictured)

This was the outfit I originally wanted to share with you but ended up going off and doing heaps more outfits. I don't think this one needs much more done to it, it already is very Halloween themed on its own. I love all the little dead pin ups, stitched together hearts and other little objects that both the skirt and shirt are covered in. I would only pair this with a couple of simple things like pictured, I may even add a little fake blood to my skin for added effects.

There are so many Hell Bunny dresses out there that can easily be turned into a Halloween styled outfit, these where just a few of my favorites I wanted to share and believe me I could have gone on! I do hope this helps you a little bit if you have been stuck for what to wear this year. Just wish they could all be worn at once!

The Hell Bunny Official Facebook page has many items you can look at and turn into Halloween costumes!

Can you say black cat obsessed!? I think I am in love with this whole outfit I just put together, from head to toe.

So you may have seen my last style board which featured another fabulous Poppy England dress (yes I am obsessed with this company) but I couldn't pass up putting together a board for the Grace cat dress (5). They are both the same style dress and can be worn either way (V neck shape at front or back) which just makes it the most amazing dress to style and wear.
I love cats and its not really much of a secret any more, the lovely people over at Poppy England have actually sent me this dress to review for you in the next week and let me just say, its perfection. Everything about the way it sits and fits is just beautiful, I think it is quickly becoming my favorite dress (and I own a lot of dresses). I will shh about it for now as I will tell you so much more soon!
Of course this dress wouldn't be complete without one of the every so fluffy Poppy England petticoats (3). The white would work so well with the dress.

I decided to stick with the black and white cat theme here across all aspects of the outfit, believe me I wish I could buy it all myself but I can't have everything. Maybe one day I can make this outfit actually happen.

The little cute Wherefore art thou, ro-meow tights (1) have made an appearance on my blog before but I just enjoy them so much. I wouldn't want to wear a patterned tight and I felt plain might be a bit boring. I would just love to see the little cat faces popping out of the button of the dress from time to time, making me smile.

Upon my search for a black cat shaped hand bag I discovered Titina accessories. Everything this woman makes is amazing. All hand made in Mexico and there is a lot more quirky looking animal shaped bags and more. Sadly I found the bag (2) in Google images which took me to the Facebook page. Upon a little more research I learnt that it is sold out but I do hope it comes back in soon! It was by far the cutest one I found and would match this whole Black cat outfit perfectly!

You can't have a cat themed outfit and not wear some fabulous cat eye glasses! I think that may be a little bit of a crime (just kidding). There are many many frames out there and it doesn't just have to be sunglasses, regular glasses are fine too. I just love the simpleness of the Ultra Lux black sunglasses (4) and the cute little diamond details on the side.

Hair accessories are always a must! I felt like wearing black and white roses wouldn't really work for this outfit but I would defiantly rock a black chiffon head scarf (6) in some way or another. I would properly be having a huge beehive hair day or I may even wear it around my neck. Who knows!

I remember seeing a Cat lady brooch (7) on Instagram a while back now and thought how cute it was but never found the artist until now! I simply searched "Black cat brooch" in Etsy and was greeted with it, and then the rest of the set followed. The brooch would look wonderful just straight on the dress or even on a white cardigan (12) for those of you in the colder countries. I figured that the necklace (10) would look great with the V shape neck facing forward to really showcase the piece and also so it wouldn't get too lost in the cats. The little rings (8 & 9) are just an added bonus to this really, the whole set really screams "crazy cat lady" just that little bit more.

Finally the fabulous shoes. Sticking with the black and white theme, the cute Refined your purpose heel (11) really bring this whole outfit together in  my eyes. They are simple yet have a great pattern on them that doesn't take too much attention away from the rest of the outfit. I do love myself some cute shoes!

While putting this whole outfit together I also thought this would make yet another amazing Halloween outfit without going to over the top. The type of outfit you could wear on a date or taking the children trick or treating but if your like me, I am just going to wear the dress as much as I can!

I hope you enjoyed this style board just as much as I did putting it together!

Don't forget that Poppy England have given me a 15% off everything code valid until 27/10/14.

(Scroll to bottom for 15% off code)

This has to be the most perfect spring outfit if I am being honest. So much vibrant colour and cuteness I'm not to sure where to start!

The Grace dress is one of the many amazing styles that can be found on Poppy England's shop but I picked out this one today not just for the amazing "Floats" (5) pattern but because it can be worn 2 ways! You can wear the wonderful straight neck line at the front or even the shallow V shape. It's entirely up to you and it creates two very different looks. It has a zip down the side making getting in and out very easy and it also comes with its own matching reversible belt (click through to see better images). I am really loving the different colours used, each of the red, yellow and blues tie in with each other perfectly. Each of the Poppy England dresses are fully lined and of course come with that all important story book based upon the fabric print. I really can not wait to hear what Poppy and her Pup, Fred got up to on this day.

Don't forget to pop a Poppy England fluffy petticoat (6) under to create that full look that you see in all the images. I really love the tone of yellow used in the one I have pictured, it matches the yellow in the dress perfectly.

I know that pretty much every where else is getting colder weather now so make sure to pop an adorable little cardigan on to keep yourself warm. Poppy England has a great range of comfortable cardigans (4) in many colours to suit your needs. I chose the white one here not only to match the background of the dress but to not take any attention off the wonderful colours used.

I really don't think this outfit would be complete without the matching hair accessories. Depending on the hair style you have that day you have a choice of 3 matching accessories, I know I have only pictured two. You can pop a cute little bow clip (7) in the side of the hair, do an amazing up do and keep your head warm with the head scarf (8) or even just pop the elasticated head band in for a little bit of cuteness. Which ever one you choose you know it matches perfectly with the rest of this amazing outfit.

In keeping with the "Float" theme I had to find the perfect brooch to be present on the little white cardigan (or dress). I totally remembered that there is an older Erstwilder out there that had a young girl holding a couple of red balloons (1). Upon a little search I did find one place on Google that still some how has it in stock. I just think she is the perfect little quirky accessories for this brightly coloured dress.

I felt like this outfit didn't need some over the top shoes (3) and bag (2), so some plain white simpleness is all I feel is needed to complete this look. Of course you could pair this with maybe a red shoe and bag or the same in yellow, it is entirely up to you.

I nearly forgot to mention that Poppy England have an amazing range of children's clothes so you can even match your little one.

Make sure you do check out the rest of the amazing Poppy England website, there really is some amazing dresses on there that are very unique and should not be missed out on!
I will be sharing a few more of my favorite dresses in this weeks Things I Love post also.

Spooky Halloween style board

It may be October 3rd but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be getting your outfits ready. Halloween is the best time of year! I have put together my first of hopefully a few Halloween inspired looks this month sticking with the simple orange and black theme first.
Oh and I found some amazing Halloween fonts from Dafont.com that I have to use more than once.

1. Bat in time tights via Modcloth
2. Wherefore Art thou, Ro-meow? Tights via Modcloth
3. Orange rose via Etsy
4. Black rose via Etsy
5. Cara the Halloween Kitty Brooch by Erstwilder via Vintage Pip
6. Lindy Bop Audrey Dusky orange dress via Lindy Bop
7. Cutout Bat necklace via Sourpuss
8. Cat's Meow necklace via Sourpuss
9. Faux Leather belt via Pin up girl Clothing
10. Bill the Bashful Bat brooch by Erstwilder via Vintage Pip
11. All Bat and More heel heels via Modcloth
12. Black Petticoat (Not pictured) via Beserk. Long or Short
(All links go direct to product)

You may have noticed that there is more of a few items (Necklaces, Brooches and tights) reason being is because its a black cat vs Spooky bat type of outfit. I can't decided which way I would love to wear this more so I figured I would show you both options. Not everyone can be a cat person you see. I wanted to create a classy look but still with that edge of Halloween, something you could wear out to a dinner date or taking the children trick or treating.

I was on the Lindy Bop website a few weeks back (no surprise there) and I just fell in love with the colour of this Audrey dress (6) but wasn't 100% sure if I would wear it, Upon putting this fabulous outfit together I realized I would wear this dress a lot and not just for a wonderful Halloween outfit. I defiantly need more Audrey dresses in my life and I really do hope I can grab this one before the end of the month to try my best to get this outfit together and do some trick or treating (I don't care that I will be 22 next week, I still have never celebrated Halloween properly).
See my review of the Lindy Bop Audrey dress here.
Once again the black belt (9) is there because I am not a fan of matching belts, I love a bit of contrast around the waist.

How adorable would the tops of the Bat in time (1)  and Wherefore art thou, Ro-meow? (2) tights look peeping out the bottom of the dress? It would completely pull this outfit together while keeping your legs toasty warm (I know its coming up to winter on the other side of the world). Them little black cat faces are the cutest things I have ever seen and I need them on my legs.

Hair accessories are a must! I think I would totally style my hair into some crazy Pin curls to make this whole look complete. I don't think Halloween is about anything being to neat and why start with the hair! I would pop both the black (4) and orange (3) roses in the side for that little bit of extra cuteness.

This dress is the perfect canvas for an amazing brooch and its a good thing Erstwilder has brought out two amazing styles this year! Cara the Halloween kitty (5) has already made a few appearances on my blog because lets face it, she is purrfect but this time she has a friend, Bill the bashful bat (10)! Both make such an amazing Halloween pair. I think my Cat vs Bat theme would start from here, but then yet again I don't think I would like to split them up. I may have to wear both at the same time to get that Halloween message over just that little bit more.
Here's a better look at the pair as I had to make them super small to fit in the image.

The necklaces are also still sticking with the cat vs bat theme but you could wear which ever one you wanted and mix and match the theme. I am loving the silhouette of the little black cat (8), its very simple yet you instantly know what it is. The same goes for the bat (7). Something so simple can really bring an outfit together and the Audrey dresses do have the neckline for a great necklace.

Lastly are the fabulous bat wing heels (11) from Modcloth. I saw these this week while getting together my weekly Modcloth Monday and knew I had to save them for a special post. The image above does not do them justice so you will defiantly have to get over to the listing and check them out for yourself. You can't really see it but they are a suede, pointed toe shoe with the closure being in the shape of a spooky bat wing. They are just the perfect thing to pop your feet into this Halloween.

I realized that this post is rather long but oh well, I think this outfit is absolutely fabulous and I really enjoyed having a theme to follow for this style board. I do hope I get to create this, or something similar by the end of the month.

Style Board #2: Hell Bunny Black Dahlia dress via Closet confessions Boutique

At the start of this month a wonderful business called Closet confessions Boutique opened up online and ever since then I have been watching the new products roll in. The idea behind the business came from the owners passion for sizes 14+ and bringing them all together in the one place. As a lady who wears these sizes I was naturally drawn in, especially when the following dress was posted up as "coming soon".
I can not wait to see what the future holds for Closet confessions Boutique, I just know that it is going to become big here in Australia!
<3

1. Hell Bunny black Dahlia dress via Closet confessions Boutique
2. Cream hair rose via Sourpuss
3. Black bad girl scarf via Sourpuss
4. Bead of roses necklace in Petal via Modcloth
5. Faux Leather black belt via Pin up Girl clothing
6. Dainty Dramatist heel in Noir via Modcloth
7. Long white petticoat (not pictured) via Closet confessions Boutique

I must own this dress and very soon if I am honest. It has the most perfect shades of pinks and greens that stand out amazingly on the black base. The black dahlia dress is covered in little delicate roses on a slight stretch cotton fabric for that extra curve hugging ability. It features 3/4 sleeves so it's the perfect dress for these spring days without having to hide under a cardigan. I love the collars Hell Bunny are putting on their dresses lately, big and bold! Just the way I like it.
This dress would look amazing with or without the need of a petticoat but you know me, I love a big dress.

As much as I enjoy a dress that comes with its own belt I do like it when they contrast with the fabric and not blend in. I love the really thick belts Pin Up girl clothing have in currently. They finish off any outfit perfectly and give you the best waist shape.

The low cut design on the collar of this dress is the perfect frame for a cute little necklace. I had a look around and I did feel roses where the way to go. I didn't want anything to big or bold as it would take away from the dress but I did want something that matched. I stumbled over the cute dainty Bead of roses necklace on Modcloth and knew it would be a perfect match, right down to colour.

I am not a heel wearing person normally as I can not walk in them to save my life but I would suck it up to wear the cute Dainty dramatist heel. I felt that this dress could be worn day or night. During the day I would wear a cute pair of black flats for comfort but at night I would defiantly be dressing it up and that's where these shoes come in. I love the little bow feature at the front used to fasten the shoes and I also really love the cut out shapes all over. The shoe as a whole is perfect and goes perfectly with this dress.

I chose two different hair accessories again for this outfit as I have no idea as to how my hair will behave on the day. It may have to be a beehive and big fringe day so that's where the hair scarf comes in or it is a full head of curls day and that would be finished off with a lovely little rose (or 2).
:)

How would you wear the Hell Bunny Black Dahlia dress?
What dress would you like to see next on my style board segment?

Style board #1: Hell Bunny Claudia dress

I don't know about you but I love putting outfits together in my head. I have never actually documented it but it seemed like something fun to do and then share with you all. I guess you really do get a closer look at my style as I never really post every detail of my outfit or what I could have worn instead.

1. White cropped cardigan: Similar here & here
2. Hell Bunny Elastic waist belt: Atomic Cherry
3. Red rose hair flower: Atomic cherry
4. Erstwilder Wesley whale brooch: Stars and swallows
5. Hell Bunny Claudia dress: Wild Kitty Clothing
6. Chiffon hair scarf: Similar here & here
7. Erstwilder Seafarer brooch: Stars and swallow
8. Joy and Merriment flat in white: Modcloth
9. White petticoat (Not pictured): Here, here & here

I love this dress and do in fact own it in blue. I always kind of wanted the red but no where had it in my size at the time. That being said, the blue one is a little too small for me at the moment, it's something I am working on.

I really am not a fan of wearing a belt in the same pattern/colour as the dress, I love to add a bit of matching contrast to the outfit and that is exactly what the white belt does. I wouldn't always wear a cardigan with this outfit but on them colder days and evenings its kind of needed but that's where the cute Erstwilder brooches come in! The brooches would look cute either on the cardigan if you are wearing one or on the wonderful huge collar of the dress for that extra cuteness. I would only wear the chiffon scarf if my hair was styled into a beehive or a bun but when its not the  roses work great for when my hair is down and curly
. I really enjoy wearing simple shoes with patterned outfits, I don't want to take to much away from the outfit but I still want them to be cute and the Joy and Merriment flat are just perfect to finish this whole look off!

Do you have a dress you want me to style for next time?
Well post it below!
