Modcloth Monday #5

As I look at the 7 dresses I choose today I realize that they are nearly all blue. I swear I did not do this on purpose, I guess I am just sick of the constant grey sky out today that I wanted to see some blue.
I ended up going through all 8 pages of dresses on Modcloth just to cheer myself up about the weather but that doesn't matter. You get to see even more of my favorites from the site!

Lets start with both the Bake shop dresses (1 & 3), both equally as cute as the other. I picked this one out today because of the amazing collar/neck line but also the colours in both designs.  The emerald dots dress is the most perfect shade of green which really helps the dots to stand out. The bicycle print on the other hand is just to adorable not to show you all. The dress is fully lined and has a pleated waist for that extra skirt fullness.
Dress is by Emily and Fin.

I have gone to put the Rooms for bloom dress in my Modcloth Monday so many times that I just realized I popped it in last weeks! Oh well, it doesn't hurt to have it here again.
Silly me, it is Monday after all.

Who doesn't love a sweet boarder around the hem of a dress? Well the Blue Ribbon baker dress certainly delivers this. This wonderful fit and flare dress features a lovely full skirt and a darling white embroidery around the neck as well as the hem that is accented with pearlescent beads.
I love the whole shape to this dress, I am a sucker for a full skirt anyways. The white and the blue really work together to deliver one amazing frock.

The East coat swing dress really does make me want to do a bit of swing dancing around the front room in my leopard print slippers today. This dress is made from a slight stretchy material that makes dancing a breeze. I love the contrasting in the white dots on the cap sleeves, waistline and the oh so fabulous collar that actually has removerable bow tails for a completely different look. This dress is defiantly the go to for a night of stylish twirling on the dance floor.

I want summer here already! Or at least less windy weather so I can actually go out in the fabulous Make a grand entrance dress, well that's if I owned it. This dress just screams the perfect spring dress for this year. I was pulled in by the beautiful vibrant print in hues of pink, green, and teal on white. They all go together to perfectly to create this beautiful dress. I am also really loving the deep V shaped neck line, a wonderful frame for a statement necklace.
This dress is also marked down as well! How much better can it get!

Last but defiantly not least is the Swell-heeled dress. I have seen a fellow blogger supporting this dress and I must add she does look fabulous in it. I think I was drawn in not only by the wonderful bright blue colour but the 3 leaf shaped cutouts around the neck. These leaves also match the 2 on the forward facing pockets. Each one is outlined in black piping to help it really stand out along with the black satin decorative buttons that runs a line between the pockets. Finish off this look with a belt and you have one cute looking outfit!

Its getting very close to me moving out from my boyfriends parents house and into the big world very soon so I have been looking around for cute items to make the rental house a bit more homely.
These 3 items certainly would make any house stand out.
I like cats, and that's where the Purr-Fect doormat comes in. I may not be able to have cats in the rental but I certainly can be greeted with some every day if I had this on my doorstep.
I want the Mix and Fla-mingle lights just because. I was meant to buy some last year in a local shop but sadly never did. I would love these hanging around the top of my dressing table mirror to help me put my make up on each morning and to make me smile for the rest of the day.
I don't wear scarves so you could say the Cultivate organization scarf hanger would be pointless for me but I do have a drawer or two full of Bandannas and hair scarves that I wear from time to time. They are getting all smooshed and I have to pull them all out just to find one. This hanger would be perfect to sort them out and make for easy access. I think I need one (or two).

How about 3 pairs of amazing shoes to finish off this weeks Modcloth Monday? I think yes. I won't tell you why I am in love with each of these designs as they do kind of speak for themselves. I shall just let you droll all over the screen like I am at all three. 2 & 3 also come in other sweet colours and The designer behind the Tweet of foot sandle (Miss L Fire) has a heap of amazing designs on Modcloth currently.

Modcloth Monday #4

With Only a wink dress

I have been in love with the dress for as long as I can remember on Modcloth but I am still unsure as to which colour is my favourite as they are all perfect. This dress has a wonderfully classic look with it's full skirt, bateau neckline, cap sleeves and a precious bow at the waist that just screams Hollywood glam. However this is all changed with the netting around the neck in a matching colour that really adds a kick of va va voom to an otherwise simple design.
I had a read of a few of the reviews on each page and each one is just full of great compliments about the dress that I think I may need to invest in one, Just need to decided what colour.

Preserves Purveyor Necklace

I love how sweet looking this vintage inspired cherry necklace is. Each of the red beads contrast beautifully with the shiny green leaves on a golden chain to create a wonderful statement piece. I feel like this would go with so many outfits, fruit themed or not :)

A Royal Plush Duvet Cover in Full/Queen Lull Me to Sweet Duvet Cover in Full/Queen

Oh my, I am a sucker for any cute patterned bedding, right now I am happily surrounded by cute retro pin up girls. Both of these fun filled designs are a great addition to any room, and what makes them even better is that they have matching pillows!

You have to check out the other bedding too, there is one with cute flying cats all over!

How to Make Your Cat an Internet Celebrity

I can not wait till I own a cat and I will end up taking so many pictures of it that this might actually come in handy :D

So it's Sepetember 1st and that means its the first day of spring here in Australia so I thought I would share some of my favourite floral dresses from Modcloth.

I have another dress in the same shape as the Garden crossing dress and I must say it is perfect. The amazing neckline is paired with a wonderful pleated skirt that is brightened with fresh flowers around the hem. This dress is a must have to brighten up any room this spring.
The cheery cordial dress is my favourite of the three. I have never seen it before but oh my it did catch my eye pretty quickly. With sheer cap sleeves printed in a perky floral and cherry motif, this shirt style dress has a great sense of unique vintage style, Oh and the shade of pink is perfect!
The last of the three is the cute floral dress titled, Room for Blooms. I have had my eye on this dress for a little while now due to its most beautiful shades of blues that mix so wonderfully with the white blossoms. The dress has amazing capped sleeves that flow down to a lovely full skirt. Perfect for a spring time walk in the park :)

Oh did you know, all my lucky American readers are still getting free shipping on all order $50+!

Happy Spring to all my fellow Australians!

Modcloth Monday #3

Modcloth monday again!? Why yes!

I unknowingly made today all about collars until I had them next to each other. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good collared dress and these are defiantly 3 amazing ones.
The address the room dress and Mod of approval dress are very similar but who wouldn't want both hanging in their wardrobe? Each one has a sleek collar, front button closure, short sleeves and a wonderfully full flowing skirt, perfect for running around town in. They both feature a very simple yet cute polka dot pattern which just adds to the dresses retro charm.
The mum as you are dress has to be my favourite of the 3. It is pretty much the same in shape and style as the other 2 but features an amazing bright yellow flower and vine pattern that just captivates the eye of any one passing.
Any of these dresses would look amazing paired with a cute cardigan, a pair of white flats and an over the shoulder satchel to really bring the whole outfit together.

Point of You Shelf

I love quirky household decorations and this is up there with some of my favourites. A few of my silly knick kancks and cheesey family photographs would look great collected on this eye catching arrow shaped shelf that I would place pointing towards the kitchen :D

A girl can never have to many swing skirts!
These two stood out to be because of their simple features that can be paired with an awesomely pattern shirt or t-shirt and still look cute.
The Every bewitch way skirt features two pockets along the top which are guarded by two cute little red bats that are helped stand out by the red colour block band and the black background.
I really like the bold colour of the Spontaneous swing skirt that is broken up by the wavy black hemline band that would look amazing as you twirled around to your favourite tunes.
Both of these colour be worn as is or with the help of a huge petticoat to create that extra fullness.

I could keep going with this post as there is so many items to fall in love with on Modcloth but I wouldn't have anything to post for next Monday :D

Modcloth Monday #2 (40% off New arrivals)

Its that time of week again, Modcloth monday number 2.
This week I will be focusing on the new arrivals on the Modcloth website due to the launch of an amazing 3 day sale which will get you 40% off! More details at the bottom.

Shoes shoes and more shoes!

I don't buy enough shoes if I am honest, but if I had to I would own all of these in a heartbeat. They all are each as a cute as each other and would go great with any cute 50s/60s outfit. The Sweet spectator and the Editor's choice both come in other colours which makes the choosing even harder.

Wardrobe staples

These two you may have seen floating around but they have just made their way to Modcloth. I have to say they have been two of my favourites for a little while now.
The lovely all occasion pass dress is a very cute off the shoulder style covered in pink roses which should be a staple in any wardrobe. Its made of a lightweight cotton to help you get the best shape possible while remaining comfortable.
B.Jones Style skirt is to die for if I do say so myself. Its the most stunning swing styled skirt at the perfect length to be worn with or without a petticoat, both ways equally as cute. The lovely green colour is a great contrast for the detailed velvet fans that flock the elegant pleats. This would be great with a button front blouse, a cute cardi and a pair of perfectly matching shoes like the ones above.

A few cute things

I love the scientific diagram of a sailor, it a great piece of artwork for any wall with the added bonus of a moustache.
I could spend hours arranging the little gnome in his garden with all his other fun figurines. I would feel so relaxed after doing so and all my worries would just float away while I used the miniature rake to smooth the surface.
:)

The sale will start at 9am PT time (So not just yet here in Australia, so I am early) and will run right through to Thursday 10am PT time. No coupon is required for the 40% off.
Make sure you check it out here :)

Things I love #2

I fall in love with so many things on the internet. I can not help but share them with you all!
I am going to be trying a different layout to my first Things I love post, I think each item needs bigger images so you can see how amazing it is.

How cute are these Atomic star burst brooches by the amazing Craveyard!? I first saw these on instagram a couple of weeks ago and instantly knew I needed one or several. There is a few colours to choose from. Each one has been hand painted and made from a poured metal mold with a couple of jewels for that extra sparkle. I really like how they are the right size to be worn on their own or with a couple of others. Also if you take a look around the Craveyard etsy you will also notice they design their own fabulous atomic starburst fabric! I have seen a few people make it into curtains and other cute household items.

1 // 2 // 3

I stumbled across the website Le Bomb Shop yesterday and spent some time going through the pages and pages of adorable reasonably priced dresses. There was so many to choose from but I have to say these where my favourite style due to the magical straps and 6 different patterns. The straps can be worn 4 different ways: Strapless, halter, regular or with three straps (halter and regular), I have never seen this on another dress so I am pretty fascinated by it and if you are anything like me and really not a fan of halter necks then this is perfect! It has all the cuteness of a halter but the benefits of a regular. I do need to order myself one of these in the coming months, or 2 ;)

1 // 2 // 3

I have never thought to look on Modcloth for handbags but I am glad I have now. These are so adorable I just want to hug them! All are made from a very good faux leather and have plenty of room for all your everyday needs. The little fox or owl would just be so perfect over my shoulder while coming home from the shops on my imaginary vintage bike while I safely carry all my shopping from the farmers market in my little mushroom shaped backpack! :D So much cuteness in 3 bags!

All From Atomic Cherry

Its all about cute high waisted Hell bunny swing skirts on Atomic cherry and I want them all. I have seen all of these online for a while now and I am a little surprised I can still find them available. Each one is so perfect for spring (or any season), paired with a cute shirt and a little contrasting cardigan. I think I would practically live in these as they would be great for running simple errands during the day without needed to put to much effort into the outfit.

Its been a week now since I started writing this blog and I managed to reach over 1000 views yesterday. Thank you ever so much! I am glad you like the random ramblings I am making in each post.

Don't forget to check out the giveaway I have running in the post below this one!
Happy Thursday!

Modcloth Monday #1

I know it was only Friday that I wrote up a post about a few of my favourites on the Modcloth website but I want to start up a segment called "Modcloth Mondays", so here I am again giving you 3 more beauties from the site that I instantly fell in love with.

Travelin' Twirl Dress in Country Layered Cupcakes Dress in Red and Blue Graceful Greenery Dress in Dog Park

First of all, oh my! These are all absolutely jaw droppingly beautiful and secondly I didn't intend on having a theme in the dresses I chose but I soon realized they are all very similar in shape and elegance but I'm fine with that.
The Travelin' Twirl dress is all about the pattern. If you are a country girl at heart then this is the perfect way to show it off. The vintage country scenes covering the dress has so much detail going on you'll end up just looking at it all day and nearly tripping over. It has a very neatly pleated skirt that just flows with or without the use of petticoat and a very cute plunge neckline that's going to work with any body shape.
The Layered cupcake dress has to be my favourite of the 3. I saw someone wearing it on instagram the other day and I knew I have to have it (or at least share its beauty around), thankfully Modcloth has it in stock. I love the Scarlet and blue roses and smoke tones leaves atop the crème hue, it works so well with the shape of the dress to create one elegant outfit for any day or night. A closer look at the details of this dress shows it has a little stretch in the material which is going to hug you in all the right places giving off a perfect body shape no matter your size. A petticoat can be worn under the full skirt if you wished to.
I chose the Graceful Greenery dress as my last because you really don't see that many bright red dresses accompanied with terriers, dalmatians and chihuahuas. I am still yet to buy myself a dress from the great range of Bernie Dexter dresses on Modcloth but I have heard nothing but good from other buyers. The strappy sundress with a fitted waist and a full skirt is perfect for any sunny day walk with your pups or just as cute paired with a cardigan for the colder days.

Happy Modcloth Monday :)

Which one is your favourite of the 3?

ModCloth is a place of dreams

To celebrate the fact I now get to wear a little ModCloth badge on my blog with pride I thought I would share with you all 3 of my favourite dresses from the site (for now). It's a hard choice due to the huge fabulous selection they do stock but someone has to do it :D

Vintage Dancer Dress
Clear as Day Off DressJust Roll with It Dress

1 // 2 // 3

The first dress is the Vintage dancer dress that I have been in love with for quite some time now. I own a few dresses from the same brand and the quality is spot on every time that I just keep going back for more. They cater for girls of any size and does it with a great fit, just go look at some of the stunning ladies on the page who share their thoughts and you will see what I mean. This will be the first thing I buy next pay day.
Second on my must have list is the Clear as day dress. I have to say I am a sucker for any novelty print out there but the fact I wear glasses every day just keeps bringing me back to this cute retro looking dress. I love the flared skirt and the addition of the peter pan collar, it really makes the dress worth looking in to.
Lastly, and defiantly my favourite of the 3 is the Just roll with it dress. I have seen a few ladies post this dress on instagram in the past few days and I instantly fell in love but sadly by the time I got to the site I just missed out on my size. This will not stop me from dreaming about owning it and waiting for it to be restocked. I love the cute novelty dice pattern that covers the dress which goes amazing with the red boarder stripes that helps break up the pattern just enough. Its unlike any I have seen before and there for a must have to any wardrobe.

If I was you, I would grab these while they are hot.
All dresses in the post and many more can be found at Modcloth.

Found anything super cute on Modcloth recently that you just can't keep to yourself?
